Leon Crayfish Leon began experimenting with jewelry in 2022, focusing on turning his graphic sketches into objects. Primitive forms, constructivism, and a love of science fiction films were reborn into forms that resemble artifacts from the future, totems of future deities, or parts of spaceships. Leon Crayfish began his work in St. Petersburg in 2004, experimenting with modern underground men's clothing, focusing on the design and color of fabrics. Since 2006, Leon began actively incorporating shoes into his clothing collections, which led to the creation of a new shoe brand, Notmysize, by 2010. From that point on, the main focus was on developing new forms and technologies within the Notmysize brand. In 2017, Leon, together with his wife, architect Anna Kraifish, launched a new space, NMS store, in Moscow, which combined a multi-brand store and a cultural space collaborating with contemporary artists and designers. This space became the base for the Notmysize shoe brand. Working with small forms and a penchant for primitive graphic elements led Leon to experiment with jewelry in 2023. The first jewelry collection, "Primitives," was created based on primitive geometric shapes. "Primitives" is a series of works made from primitive geometric figures in Blender using one of the simplest boolean subtraction functions. This series is both a design project and a research work, exploring the use of simple forms that eliminate excess noise and focus on the essence of design.
